I used some yarn that I bought in Iceland. It's 100% new wool and oh so soft. The brand is Kambgarn. Not sure if you can get it in the US but any sock yarn will work for this pattern.
I love the blue, too. And this picture doesn't do it justice. The flash washes everything out.
